Greetings first time forum user.
We ordered a new 2022 Ford Explorer XLT in May 2022. When the vehicle arrived at the dealership we discovered the navigation system was not installed despite the customer order form showing it as such. The dealership confirmed this was how they placed the order but claim they have no explanation through Ford as to why it wasn’t installed. Is this common? Ordering something and not getting what you ordered or paid for even if it’s within a package?
We recognize due to the chip shortage some options are no longer available however is this common practice of Ford or dealerships to arbitrarily leave an option off the order and not communicate it to the buyer? No call, no explanation, take it or leave it attitude is troublesome?
