ParticipantSo, about a month ago, I decided to keep my current 2015 Platinum F350 SRW. I bought me a 2021 Ecoboost Mustang.
Well, get an email from Ford that my 2022 Platinum F350 DRW will go into production the week of Aug 15th.
Guess someone else will enjoy it.
Been waiting since middle of Nov 2021

ParticipantMy 350 was built Aug 27. Got a Sept 7 delivery date. Then went on hold for a month due to chips I don’t need. Chip for diesel exhaust, but I have gas engine. Chip for fancy seats, but those seats are not even available in my trim level, and I have a bench seet ordered. Then started getting delivery dates. Then dates delayed. Sept, Oct, now halfway through second Nov delivery period, and truck is still in Louisville. And I know the dealer, and two family members work there. They get nothing more from Ford than I do. I don’t understand how a company can produce product and then not deliver to buyers. Ford has morphed into a third world company.

ParticipantProduction numbers are what keeps the plant manager employed, I worked at a truck plant if it can drive off the line great. Ford could give a sh!t if parts are missing. They will pay overtime to fix problems making repairmen happy and their pockets full. Thats how it works don’t care who u know, I worked there, and it took 10 plus months to receive mine.

ParticipantI only stated that knowing the dealer, I know they are not making things up about delivery. My truck was delayed till end of November, and now till Dec 3. Hopefully 2022, not 23. With the number of completed units waiting for delivery, it will be months or more before the deliveries can catch up. Ford won’t give a realistic delivery date, just the excuse of date being an estimate. Problem is, estimates have some basis in fact and reality. Ford delivery estimates have neither. The statement in email I receive say they are delaying delivery to ENHANCE my experience. It is only strengthening my resolve to buy GM next time.

ParticipantUpdate. Yesterday. Ford again pushed back my delivery date. Now Dec. 21-27. Of which 4 or more days are the Christmas holiday. So a 2023 delivery is looking more likely..

ParticipantBeen reading some wait times and you guys in the US are lucky. Ordered my Lariat Super Duty August 2021 up here in Canada and am still waiting. Finally got a VIN and it went into production Nov 16, 2022 and so far it has been 17 days and the tracking website says it is still not built. I hope I get it by Christmas and it will have been 16 months. Kinda takes the edge off a new vehicle waiting that long

ParticipantI ordered mine in Feb, got it in August. I ordered vinyl floors instead of carpet. I received carpet, dealer said they must have been out of vinyl, they could send it back to get vinyl installed. I decided not to wait again. I’m not going to go into what it took to get the scratch/dent fixed that was in the rear driver door. Dealer said Ford had to fix it, Ford said it was the dealers fault. My last Ford product.

ParticipantI was told August when I ordered mine in Feb. Now it is Dec, and no truck. At least the carpet can be covered with a weathertec mat. Enjoy the new ride.
