The “XLJ” is a NEW TRIM package that stands for XL package for the “average Joe”.
    – Package price $21,999 including delivery charge.
    – Ford Financing: 10% down, 72 months financed at 3.99%
    – Signed Dealership form stating exact price and financing rate – to be honored by dealership upon delivery

    2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLJ 2.5-liter in-line 4 [$21,999 including delivery charge]
    Included:
-Steel Wheels: with Full size spare and choice of two-three assorted Ford hub cabs
-Apple Car Play & Android Auto
    -LED Headlights
-Power Windows with Power Sliding Rear Window
    -Power Heated Mirrors
-8 way Power Heated driver seat with better lumbar support
    -10 tie-downs in bed
    -400 watt/110-volt bed inverter
    -Trailer Hitch w/4-pin
-Bed options: spray-in bed liner or plastic bed liner

    OPTION (1): Extra Cost: $2,799
    – For Bed Cap (colored to vehicle) installed at factory – or by dealer
    – LED Bed lights
    – Power tailgate lock
    – Two winter tires mounted on Steel wheels ($300 extra cost – only to the Eastern Winter States).

SUMMARY: I believe that FORD has a winner with the Maverick Hybrid. With some fine-tuning, it would great for everyone at any age.
The cost to FORD would be nominal. Making most units the same manufacturing process except for the XLT and Lariat packages that would cost much more.

[Well that’s my “2 cents”. Hoping to order the Maverick Hybrid “XLJ” come August 2022].

What I meant to say – Ford should honor the average guy and make the XLJ package as outlined above.
Ford can save money by stopping the roll-up windows on some vehicles. It would be easier to have the same basic power equipment on ALL models with the extra higher packages getting the more expensive equipment. Yes at the expense of the Safety Features – I’ve been driving for many years and do not need those features. A Basic Truck with a 5year, 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty would get me excited and I would become a FORD FAN!
The XLJ package would provide more income for FORD and at the same time, provide the Average “Joe”
a Basic vehicle package with some comforts and niceties that would really work well.
Thinking about it further – the Full Size Spare could be a Winter Tire with the option to purchase a second Winter Tire for $300. The spare tire is not used except for emergencies, and when Winter comes in the Eastern states, you would have two front winter tires to help with traction.
FORD – You Have The Opportunity to leave the other companies In The Dust!
Again — just my 2 cents!
The Maverick is a HIT, just make it EVEN BETTER!
