I am extremely disappointed in Ford’s decision to stop providing vehicle owners manuals. My parents are in their 80s and have been purchasing Ford vehicles since the 1950s. When they asked for a manual, the dealership said it is online and if they wanted a paper copy, could print it out or go to the Helminc.com web site and order one.
We went to the website and since March 2024, the manual has been out of stock. When speaking to Ford customer service, the best they could do is give a phone number where I could order a manual for $54.
This inconvenience and inability to provide a paper manual to vehicle owners really makes me wonder why we continue to purchase Ford vehicles.
My parents live in a rural area where cell phone service is spotty, they do not own a smart phone and have limited computer skills. To ask them to read the manual online or reference it on that ridiculously large screen that is in the Edge demonstrates to me that Ford no longer cares about their older customers.
