I AM AN AVERAGE GUY, DRIVE A 17 RAPTOR AND A 2010 GT500 SUPER SNAKE. I HAVE PURCHASED OVER 50 NEW FORD AND MERCURY VEHICLES FOR MYSELF, MY COMPANIES, AND SEVERAL EMPLOYEES I HAVE PERSONALLY HELPED WITH DOWN PAYMENTS TO GET THEM INTO A NEW VEHICLE.
I ALSO HAVE AROUND 365K SHARES OF FORD. OWNED IT WHEN IT PAID .15 DIVIDEND, OWENED IT WITH NO DIVIDEND, OWNED IT AND DIDNT SELL IT WHEN IT WAS $25.87 PER SHARE, OWENED IT AGAIN AT .10 DIVIDEND, AM GLAD THE DIVIDEND IS BACK TO .15
SO,
WHY CANT I BUT A FORD GT, AT ANY PRICE?
WHY CANT I BUY A RAPTOR R AT ANY PRICE, DEALER HAD ONE AND ALREADY SOLD FOR 25K OVER STICKER, WHAT THE HELL!!!
WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE ALLOWED TO BUY THESE VEHICLES AND PROBABLY DONT EVEN DRIVE THEM, LIKE I
AM/WOULD!!!
I HAVE ORDERED A NEW ELECTRIC HUMMER AND AN AUDI RSQ8. GOING TO B 4-6 MOTHNS OUT BUT STICKER PRICE IS LOCKED WITH DOWN PAYMENT. SELLING MY FORD STOCK AND MOVING ON. GOOD LUCK SELLING VEHICLES TO THE PRIVILEGEDAugust 3, 2022 at 11:48 am #133234AndysMamaParticipantWhy is Ford releasing thousands of workers in MI and elsewhere only to hire 6,000 new employees to man the Blue Oval City TN facility? Wouldn’t it make sense to relocate or offer transfers to current loyal workers who won’t need Ford indoctrination. Many current skills should be transferable, I would think.

But no answer why truck sits. It took me 2 years to move to Ford after the Government Motors debacle. I’d owned bowties for 52 years. This is my 5th Ford I custom ordered for 1 last vehicle. This may be the last Ford if I ever git it. Toyota looking better and better as this experience drags out.

Often times these companies want older more costly workers, like I was, to retire and that way they can hire younger workers at lower wages than me and have lower medical costs too. Believe me, these corporations all do this kind of rationalization all the time. Some of those 6,000 will be offered a chance to move to a new plant but most people won’t move like that these days. Depending on the job level, these companies won’t pay for the move unless you are executive level kind of person. None of these details would likely be publicized at all.

Why are we 2 years into this supply issue when there has to be a second source other than China for these parts. Your engineering dept should be working on design changes to work around these shortages.
Thanks, BillNovember 13, 2022 at 8:47 am #144649DaBusParticipantWe ordered our Ford on 3/8/22 using the A plan. The dealer said 8 to 10 weeks but maybe sooner because with the A plan they sometimes push them to the front of the line.
Our car ws completed 9/28/22. it is still waiting to be shipped! 8 to 10 weeks, bull and they knew it when we purchased it.
It’s been sitting in a lot in Louisville Kentucky. Ford doesn’t care about their workers our the public. The dealer knew I wasn’t getting my car in 8 to 10 weeks. Now how much longer do I have to wait for my 2022 while they are making and shipping 2023 model. NO ONE AT FORD CARESJanuary 25, 2023 at 9:18 am #151714DaBusParticipantIt is now January 25th 2023 and we are still waiting for our Escape to be shipped from the Louisville plant, It as now been finished any WAITING TO BE SHIPPED FOR 16 WEEKS! We now own a year old car and still don’t have it.
11 months to manufacture and deliver a car (so far). Babies only take 9 months to deliver -
