Transit Connect – Does FORD recognize the potential ?

With all manufacturers opting out of the compact van market, does FORD recognize the potential of resuming production for the Transit Connect?
It would be the only choice in town.
I was looking forward to purchasing a new Connect when FORD said it was going to make a new model in Mexico based on the BRONCO platform.
I was eager to get my favorite van with AWD !
The compact van market was a popular segment with great user possibilities.
The AWD version would have been a super platform for camper conversions with extended off pavement possibilities.

Not sure where you’re getting your information because most Ford sites or Ford insiders are saying that Ford is scrapping the Connect in Mexico and leaving it in Spain without any migration to the US and without any such AWD system.
