We get an email the other day, saying that a national vintage auto club is having several events throughout the year and we’re invited to participate. These events are gears to showcasing the vintage racing circuit along with hosting car shows. If we accept their invitation, we’ll be able to attend several of these car shows and watch some history vintage racing around some well known race tracks across the country.
Although this schedule is very tight for us right now, we could attend at least 3 events this year and attend more next year. We’re planning on using these events to base our travels across the country. here’s what’s involved with these events. There’s a car show (which we’ll be able to attend), we’ll be able to watch the vintage racing throughout the day and at the end or completion of the race, those participating in the car show will be allowed to drive their car on the race track as sort of a victory lap. This couldn’t have come at a better time. Because we’re installing several performance parts on the van, like New sway bar, lowering springs, new Bilstein struts and shocks and we’ve already mounted a set of 19” wheels with the 245/40 Nokian tires on the van. At some point we’ll get set up to video the van while I drive around the tracks. Even sites like the local Discount Tire are wanting to contribute to this and have offered a media pack for us to display at the track. Yesterday we get word from Zunsport (makers of mesh vehicle grilles) out of UK to send us a media pack also/ Stay tuned cause at some point one may see the van at several of these show’s and even on the track.
