    Hi,

I purchased a Thor Motorhome RV, a Chateau 24F 2020 model. I want to do the oil change myself. I have purchased the Motorcraft FL-820-S Oil Filter. What type of engine oil should I use? I read online that Mobile-1 5W-20 is recommended, can I get confirmation here? I live in Los Angeles and mostly travel in the west coast. Finally, do I need 6pt for the engine oil? Thanks!

I double check the cap of the engine oil, it says SAE 5W-30. I will use that. Now, I want to know if 6pt is recommended? Thanks

OK. Did a little bit “research”, I found the oil level gauge on the dashboard, will use that to gauge how much engine oil I would need. So as a summary: SAE 5W-30 6-7 QT, Motorcraft FL-820-S Oil Filter, 16 QT oil drain pan and a tarp. I think that’s all I need to do oil change for my RV. Thanks
