Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024-2025 Ford Mustang models over an issue with the exterior lighting.
The defect: in affected vehicles, water may enter the body control module and cause a loss of communication with the exterior lighting, including the license plate light, side marker, and tail lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
The hazards: license plate, side marker, and tail lights that fail to illuminate as intended can reduce visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.
Components: exterior lighting
Affected vehicles: select 2024-2025 Ford Mustang models produced between September 7th, 2022, and July 14th, 2025.
Number of affected vehicles: 105,441
The fix: dealers will inspect and seal the body seams as necessary. Dealers will also inspect the body control module for corrosion and replace it, if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on September 1st, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the remedy is available, anticipated first quarter 2026. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25C43.

I have an easy fix for all of these recalls, GET BACK TO FOCUSING ON the qu that comes first in alphabetical order quality instead of quantity!
Quantity isn't exactly the issue when every time you turn around, they're cancelling another model. Maybe it's overdue for a new CEO that doesn't obsess about EVs and racing?
Just because your name is on the building doesn’t make you the best qualified to run the company.
Farley is just a mouth piece.
According to Farley, it gets worse before it gets better.
Ford now has the dubious honor of being the recall king.
Ford under Farley is doing some painful restructuring that it has to go through, unfortunately it’s going too fast and the end result is production that’s full of flaws.
Looks good on the surface but a million recalls + isn’t helping Fords image or bottom line.
Luckily Ford has the F series and Ford pro division that’s creating cash flow for the company but for how long?
Time will tell.
