The all-new, fully redesigned Lincoln Nautilus just debuted for the 2024 model year, representing what is a truly comprehensive makeover by anyone’s standards. Set to receive a refresh in 2027, there are more changes coming for the luxurious crossover, but those likely won’t include an all-electric powertrain, as Ford CEO Jim Farley himself vetoed the idea of going fully EV across Lincoln’s lineup some time ago. In the meantime, some of Lincoln’s rivals continue to roll out more and more EVs, which now includes the just-unveiled 2027 BMW iX3.
The 2027 BMW iX3 is the first of what the German automaker calls its “Neue Klasse” (or New Class) generation of vehicles, and it will be the first all-electric version of the X3 sold in the U.S. when it arrives in the summer of 2026. It will launch in one trim only, however – 50 xDrive – with more set to follow, including a single motor version with rear-wheel drive. As for the 50 xDrive, it gets two electric motors churning out a combined 463 horsepower and 476 pound-feet of torque via all four wheels, taking it from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about the 2027 BMW iX3, however, is its 108.7 kWh battery pack, which is targeting a 400-mile range – quite a lot more than its current competition can offer, thanks to a variety of efficiency improvements. Its 800-volt tech also enables the crossover to charge at speeds of up to 400 kW, meaning that it can add up to 230 miles in 10 minutes of charging, and go from a 10-80 percent state of charge in 21 minutes at full tilt.
As for the way the 2027 BMW iX3 looks, well, we imagine that most folks will either love it or hate it, but the crossover does sport the brand’s signature kidney grille treatment up front, making it instantly recognizable. There are a variety of wheel options and an M Sport package to choose from, and the iX3 is the first to utilize the new BMW Operating System X with Panoramic iDrive. Inside, one will find a 17.9-inch center display, along with plenty of tech features.
As for pricing, the 2027 BMW iX3 is currently slated to start out at “around $60,000,” which makes it quite competitive in this space, if that indeed turns out to be the case – especially given its impressive battery specs.
The perfect vehicle to embody "horsepower."
The original owner's wife wasn't a fan, so it sat for decades.
Closing the week at $11.74 per share.
Still offers the same equipment, though.
At least both drivers seemed aware of the situation and could avoid it.

It's more of a Corsair...oops, not for long...competitor.
Looks like an Edsel SUV…
Exactly…an Edsel Corsair (that was one of their model lines). Ugly as it may be, it will still outsell Lincoln because people are like lemmings.
Looks like a potential Lincoln killer to me.
Not really.
Think Lincoln is fading away all on its own….
I didn't think they could make the front end any uglier. Clearly I was mistaken!!
It's baffling that design got approved at all, hideous!
I tried to think of something nice to say about its appearance.
