Since it debuted for the 2024 model year, the S650 Ford Mustang has gained a bevy of new parts and accessories for owners to choose from. In the Ford Performance catalog, that list most recently includes carbon fiber spoilers for the GT and Dark Horse in matte and gloss black finishes, along with carbon fiber mirror caps and carbon fiber hood vents. With the lightweight material continuing to prove popular with enthusiasts, the S650 Ford Mustang is now gaining a new carbon fiber front splitter, too.
Like the aforementioned parts, this new S650 Ford Mustang carbon fiber front splitter is available in one of two finishes – matte, under part number M-16601-MGM, or gloss, via part number M-16601-MGG. Regardless of which one chooses, the cost is the same, however – $1,525. Either way, the new carbon fiber front splitter is designed to fit all 2024-2025 Ford Mustang GT models (not the Dark Horse, like the aforementioned parts), and is a direct replacement for the OEM front splitter.
The carbon fiber front splitter is made using an autoclave process with pre-pre 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth, and comes as a kit with all of the fasteners one needs to install it. These new carbon fiber splitters perfectly match the aforementioned rear spoilers, mirror caps, and hood vents, meaning that S650 Ford Mustang owners could swap out several parts for a more custom and cohesive look.
Additionally, the Ford Performance catalog already includes not only matching carbon fiber mirrors caps, hood vents, and rear spoilers, but also, side mirror covers for models with and without integrated turn signals. On top of that, there are even some carbon fiber wheel options out there to choose from – though they aren’t cheap by any means. Regardless, anyone that appreciates the look of carbon fiber and its weight-reduction properties will certainly be intrigued by all of them.

So how exactly is carbon fiber stronger than steel, because brittle is not a word that I commonly hear associated with it?!
