The 2026 Ford Escape represents the nameplate’s final model year altogether. It’s being sent off with a choice of six wheel options, and we’re outlining everything you need to know about each set of the crossover’s rollers, including pricing and availability for every one.
The first set is the 19-inch Machined-face aluminum wheels with Dark Tarnished painted pockets, which are standard on the 2026 Escape Platinum. The base Escape Active gets the 17-inch Shadow Silver painted aluminum wheels, while the 18-inch Machined-face Magnetic Aluminum wheels with painted pockets are standard fare on the Escape PHEV. None of these wheels add any extra cost to the crossover.
The 18-inch Rock Metallic painted aluminum wheels are standard on the ST-Line and ST-Line Select, while the 19-inch Machined-face Ebony-painted aluminum wheels are optional for the ST-Line Select, adding $395 to the crossover, and are standard (no-cost) on the ST-Line Elite. Finally, the 19-inch Ebony-painted aluminum wheels are optional on the ST-Line Elite for $195.
As a reminder, the 2026 Ford Escape can’t be sold in six U.S. states, meaning buyers in the market for a compact crossover in California, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Oregon, and Washington will have to look elsewhere. This is because the 2026 Escape is only offered with the non-California compliant emissions system, meaning it’s not legal for sale in the states that adopted those regulations. In fact, when shopping for the 2026 Escape online, potential buyers are met with a pop-up warning directly from Ford that outlines the crossover’s availability.
For those that can go out and buy a 2026 Ford Escape, they’ll find that the crossover going to cost them a bit more than its 2025 model year counterpart, depending on the trim level. The entry level Escape Active starts at $30,350 not accounting for destination freight charges (DFC), up $835 compared to its 2025 model year counterpart. On the other end of the spectrum, the ST-Line Elite starts at $38,935 without DFC, up $2,030. To top it off, there are fewer no-cost colors on offer, too.
Changes to the passenger's seat, but not the driver's.
It appeared in a movie and a TV series.
