Aftermarket truck-customization outfit SCA Performance has just secured a Ford Approved Special Vehicle Manufacturer’s Pool Agreement, meaning that the company’s “Apex” and “Black Widow” lifted truck models, based on Ford F-150 and F-250 pickups, can now enter large-scale production.
SCA Performance is a long-time GM Special Vehicles Manufacturer, and has a range of models based on factory GM and Chevrolet trucks. The company also offers models built around Ford F-Series, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. With the new Ford Pool Agreement, SCA will now be able to amass a Ford F-Series inventory of their own, to churn out custom trucks at a greater volume.
“As the automotive industry evolves into the future, we are excited to partner with Ford to continue designing and developing innovative specialty vehicles for niche markets,” says SCA Performance President Matt McSweeney.
Ford F-Series-based Apex and Black Widow models boast a range of stylish and adventure-ready features, including:
- SCA six-inch suspension lift system
- 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires
- SCA stainless performance exhaust
- Side steps, pocket-style fender flares, and hood scoops
- Unique wheel designs and brake caliper covers
- And more
In addition, SCA Performance announced this week that its sister company, McSweeney Designs, will start product development on packages for the Ford Transit in the second quarter of 2017.
