The EcoSport was the sixth best-selling model in the segment in the second quarter, behind the Jeep Compass (see Jeep Compass sales), Chevy Trax (see Chevy Trax sales), Jeep Renegade (see Jeep Renegade sales), Honda HR-V and Buick Encore (see Buick Encore sales). It’s also likely that the EcoSport was outsold by the Nissan Rogue Sport, but Nissan elects to not break out sales of the Rogue Sport from those of the larger and more expensive Rogue. As such, it is unknown which portion of the 98,748 Rogue sales the Rogue Sport accounted for, and therefore where the EcoSport fits among those sales.
The performance means that the Ford EcoSport outsold the following models: Hyundai Kona, Toyota C-HR, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Kia Niro, Mazda CX-3, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Fiat 500X, Nissan Kicks and the now-discontinued Nissan Juke, which the Kicks replaced.

The EcoSport is a relative newcomer to the U.S. subcompact crossover space, and we expect Ford EcoSport sales to continue growing in the near future due to the following factors:
Interest-free longterm financing available on all-electric crossover.
Which could be useful for those that live in certain areas.
Reducing auto tariffs from 25 percent to 15 percent.
A pretty amazing feat, given the abuse it suffered.
Taking over for Kevin Legel, who is retiring after 32 years.
And some pretty unique styling cues.
