Anyone in the market for a project truck who happens to like late ’60s Fords like this 1969 Ford F100 SWB 4×4 will want to check out this ride. This particular truck is owned by Gas Monkey Garage. That garage is located in Dallas, Texas and is where the Discovery Channel show Fast N’ Loud is filmed.
The truck was purchased by owner Richard Rawlings and was intended to be a truck they fixed up at the shop. Due to the hectic filming schedule and other projects, Rawlings and his crew have opted to sell the 1969 Ford F100 SWB 4×4 as it sits. The truck is clean enough for a ride that needs a full restoration.
Most of the rust on it seems to be of the superficial sort. There is one place on the truck that looks like the rust went deep. When the 1969 Ford F100 SWB 4×4 left the factory, it was powered by a 360 cubic inch V8 engine, which is still under the hood. The transmission is a 4-speed manual. The seller says that the underside of the truck shows minimal rust.
The interior needs a full restoration, but it is complete. The 1969 Ford F100 SWB 4×4 doesn’t run, and the ad says that it will need to be towed or trailered from the shop. There are no guarantees as to the completeness of the truck, and the buyer is urged to inspect the truck themselves. Gas Monkey Garage notes they don’t have the time to do any work on the truck for the buyer. The asking price is $9,995, and the truck can be picked up at the shop in Dallas.
