Blue Oval enthusiasts who keep an eye on online auction sites sometimes come across models with unique histories and famous owners. Take this 2023 Ford Mustang Saleen, which was owned by Steve Saleen himself, which recently sold for $104,500. Now, another Ford model with a famous former owner is up for grabs: a 1969 Ford LTD coupe, once owned by Bill Harrah of Harrah’s Casino fame.
Available on Bring a Trailer, this 1969 Ford LTD coupe was purchased new by Bill Harrah himself. It remained under his care as part of his vehicle collection until 1985, when it was sold to another collector. It was recently acquired by the selling dealer, and despite its age, it’s only showing 96 miles racked up, meaning it’s been coddled its entire life.
This 1969 Ford LTD is finished in Wimbledon White. It features retro concealed quad headlights, a black vinyl roof, and chrome bumpers. LTD and 351 badging is proudly displayed on its exterior, and the whole ensemble rides on a set of 15-inch wheels and Goodyear whitewall tires. A coil spring suspension helps keep the ride level, and it also boasts power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes.
Inside, that white exterior is complemented by blue vinyl upholstery. That theme extends to the door panels and floor, along with a color-coordinated dashboard. Interior appointments include manually operated windows, AM radio, dual rear seat speakers, and a cabin heater.
Under the hood, this 1969 Ford LTD coupe harnesses a 351 cubic inch V8 engine, which was rated at 250 horsepower from the factory. Power is directed to the rear two wheels (RWD) by way of the SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. The sale includes the original dealer invoice, shop manuals, a Harrah’s Automobile Collection certificate, and a canceled Nevada title that shows the vehicle was formerly registered to Harrah’s Club in Reno.
At the time of this writing, the high bid is $6,000, and enthusiasts have until July 3rd, 2025 to place a bid on this unique piece of Nevadan history.
