The 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor debuted just last month, finally filling the void left behind by the discontinuation of the off-road-focused Timberline trim. Packed to the gills with off-road-ready goodies like we expected, the Explorer Tremor is a capable variant of the crossover right from the factory. Ford Authority is spotlighting the tough crossover in the following photo gallery.

The most surefire way to pick the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor out from its peers is to take a look at its front end. Bold orange – or “Electric Spice,” as the color is named – accents decorate the rugged crossover’s front end, bracketing either side of the blue Ford oval in the center of the grille. The crossover features matching Electric Spice tow hooks mounted to its bumper, while hardy underbody protection keeps its more delicate bits protected from errant rocks and trail obstacles.

A set of high-intensity off-road LED lights up front cut the darkness. Both the headlights and taillights feature a blackout treatment, while Tremor badges all around help the crossover stand out even more – as though its hardy, upright presence wasn’t enough to differentiate it.

Checking out the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor in profile reveals a set of 18-inch High Gloss Ebony Black-painted Aluminum wheels Electric Spice Accents, which are wrapped in tough all-terrain tires. Out back, it features dark taillamps and underbody protection for the rear, too.

But its special appointments don’t stop there. Inside, the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor sports black molded-in-color doorsill scuff plates emblazoned with “Explorer” text, welcoming passengers into its rugged embrace. It also boasts front- and second-row floor liners. The seats, meanwhile, feature accent stitching, while the front row includes heating and ventilation, along with the Tremor logo; the second row is heated. The flat-bottomed steering wheel lends a sporty air, and it’s heated to boot, complete with accent stitching to complete the look.

Surprisingly, the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor is actually more affordable than the Timberline model it replaced. The Explorer Tremor goes for $48,330 before destination charges are added, which places it right in between the 2025 Explorer ST-Line and Platinum trims.
