Ford Bronco Upfit Kits Recalled Over Rear Camera View Obstruction

Ford Motor Company is recalling select Ford Bronco upfit kits over a visibility issue with the rearview camera.

The defect: certain upfit spare tire carrier kits sold as accessory parts may not be compatible with the rearview camera on 2024-2025 Ford Bronco vehicles.

The hazards: a rearview image that does not display reduces the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle and increases the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Affected partss: upfit spare tire kits sold as accessory parts with part numbers M-BRONCO-WAD, -WBD, -W3, -W4, -W9, -W10, -W11, and W12.

Number of vehicles affected: 59

The fix: dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on August 4^th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S78.
