The 2026 Lincoln Corsair arrives somewhat unexpectedly, especially given prior assumptions that the luxury crossover would bow out after the 2025 model year. Its return brings subtle updates, including the deletion of its chrome roof racks, which have been stricken from the options list.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the 2026 Lincoln Corsair loses its chrome roof rails altogether. These were previously standard on Reserve and Grand Touring models for the 2025 model year, but now, they’re not even offered as an optional extra on any trim.
In place of the chrome roof rack side rails, the 2026 Lincoln Corsair now features black roof side rails on all trims, including Premiere, Reserve, and Grand Touring. For the 2025 model year, roof rails were an option on the entry level Premiere trim, while they were standard on Reserve and Grand Touring, as previously stated. However, given that black roof rails are now standard across the board, it’s worth noting that they are still not considered part of the Jet Appearance Package.
The aforementioned changes to the 2026 Lincoln Corsair roof rail options represent the biggest change headed to the luxury crossover. The good news is that buyers in every U.S. state will be able to purchase the 2026 Corsair, unlike its platform mate, the 2026 Ford Escape. Thanks to the automaker’s pivot away from the compact, the 2026 Escape can’t be sold nationwide, but thankfully, this rather unusual change won’t affect the 2026 Corsair.
It’s unclear how long the 2026 Lincoln Corsair will hang on, however. It’s built at the Louisville Assembly plant, which is slated to undergo a major retooling in December. Once the plant is back up and running, both the Corsair and the Escape are expected to be replaced by similarly sized all-electric models. Said remodeling includes the addition of an electric vehicle charging station spanning 12,000 square feet, which is set to feature a canopy providing cover for 16 charging units and a substation.

Don’t see how the Corsair can hang on once Louisville converts to EV prod. However, discontinuing would be a huge mistake, eliminating a somewhat entry level Lincoln. But nothing Ford does surprises me. Have had great luck with my MK C and the Corsair would be the natural next buy.
I’m glad we bought our Corsair in 24. It replaced an escape that we loved. Ford , in my opinion has made many mistakes recently, this one is pretty big. These cars should continue to be built. Someplace! Tariffs won’t last forever.
they need to drop them black brake dust wheels….makes it look cheap…
no electric vehicles for me
I will never buy an electric car. Right now we have a Corsair and a Nautilus It appears that Mr Farley wants many loyal Lunch owners to abandon Ford Motor Co
I drive a 2023 lincoln corsair it a great ride while drop it
I have a 2023 Corsair Grand Touring II PHEV and I love it. Before this, I had a Lincoln MKC. I would hate to be out shopping now. I may be in the market again in 2028. I’d like to buy another Lincoln. Will Lincoln offer anything I want? We’ll see.
