1999 Lincoln Town Car Executive With 23K Miles Up For Auction

Like its Panther platform counterparts – the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis – the Lincoln Town Car has been a regular sight on collector car auction sites as of late, with plenty of nice, low-mile examples ripe for the bidding. It stands to reason that these types of vehicles will eventually become more sought-after and valuable collectibles, given the fact that such things don’t really exist anymore, too. Now, we can add this very nice 1999 Lincoln Town Car to that list.

This 1999 Lincoln Town Car is an Executive model currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it has just 23k miles on the clock. It lived with the original owner until the seller purchased it earlier this year, and they clearly took great care of the large, luxurious sedan. In fact, the auction listing doesn’t note any flaws on its Light Parchment Gold Clearcoat paint, nor the bright trim or 16-inch aluminum wheels. The tires are a bit old, however, and probably need to be replaced.

Inside the cabin, Light Parchment leather covers the seats – which are power-adjustable up front – and it’s in rather tidy condition as well, which is to be expected in this case. It’s accented by plenty of woodgrain trim, along with amenities such as a rear window defroster, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and power windows and locks.

Power for this Lincoln Town Car comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 205 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. There is some corrosion present underneath, but then again, the car last lived in Nebraska, so that’s not terribly surprising.

Regardless, this is just the latest Lincoln Town Car we’ve seen hit the auction block as of late, which consists of a rather large group. In fact, we’ve seen two other nice, low-mile 2002 models go up for grabs in recent months – one with 20k miles on the clock, and another with 34k.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. From the times Lincoln was a real luxury car brand and not the vulgar joke it is today.

    1. Cheer up! Lincolns going to have a stellar three vehicle lineup once Corsair is dropped. I’ve heard the real luxury brands -BMW, Benz, Lexus, etc are trembling in their

      boots.

In all seriousness, what Ford did to this brand is criminal. Twenty-five years ago they were the number one luxury brand in the US, now they are a distant also-ran.
