As if the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD wasn’t mean enough in its own right, The Blue Oval curated a collection of carbon fiber parts available for the track-ready beast. Ford Authority already covered the carbon fiber components available on the Mustang GTD in detail, since then, the automaker has released some new parts that help elevate the aggressive race-slash-street-car even more.
Those new parts arrive as part of the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon trim. This trim features bonded carbon fiber doors and is completely unpainted, cutting 13 pounds from its overall curb weight. Like its Carbon Series brethren, it also sports a matching carbon weave across its hood, roof, deck lid, and rear wing. All of that new equipment bolsters the list of carbon fiber components found on the greater Mustang GTD line, including its fenders, hood, trunk lid cover, door sills, front splitter, rear diffuser, and roof.
There are also a selection of optional carbon fiber goodies offered up on the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD. This includes an available aero package, which clads the Mustang GTD underbody in carbon fiber, inspired by the Mustang GT3 race car. The barely street-legal pony also boasts tech that would be considered illegal by many motorsports divisions, including controlled front flaps, which help manage airflow and balance along with the active rear wing.
The driveshaft is also made of carbon fiber, meshing with the eight-speed transaxle found in all examples of the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD, helping cut driveline weight and providing 50/50 weight distribution between the front and rear. Beyond the exterior, carbon fiber elements are sprinkled throughout the interior, carrying the sporty theme inside the cockpit. Miko suede is paired with leather and carbon fiber, wrapping the driver and passenger in a motorsports-inspired environment both on and off the track.
Thus far, there are very few 2025 Ford Mustang GTD units in existence. As Ford Authority exclusively reported, deliveries of the track-ready pony have already begun, putting them in the hands of their rather affluent buyers, including Jay Leno and Vaughn Gittin Jr.
There might be a forthcoming Boss, but it won't be a 429.
Say hello to Black Onyx, Light Space Gray, and Hot Chocolate.
Looks strikingly like the Geo Metro...
A very nice example of the obscure model.
