2026 Lincoln Corsair Largely Unchanged Aside From Roof Rails

The 2026 Lincoln Corsair arrives somewhat unexpectedly, considering that it was expected to be slashed from The Star’s lineup following the 2025 model year. But the luxury crossover soldiers on, albeit with minor changes and updates compared to its predecessor.

In fact, according to sources familiar with the matter, the only major equipment change for the 2026 Lincoln Corsair pertains to its roof rack side rails. As Ford Authority previously reported, the luxury crossover loses its chrome roof rails, which were standard on Reserve and Grand Touring models for the 2025 model year.

That’s not to say the 2026 Lincoln Corsair loses its roof rack side rails completely. The luxury crossover is simply fitted with black roof rack side rails instead, which are now standard on every trim. Despite this change, said roof rails are still not considered part of the Jet Appearance Package.

There is one other notable change headed for the 2026 Lincoln Corsair. The luxury crossover now offers a four-year SiriusXM plan with 360L as an option on all trim levels, although it’s not available for military sales. Pricing for this feature has not yet been released.

The good news is that buyers in every U.S. state will be able to purchase the 2026 Corsair, unlike its platform mate, the 2026 Ford Escape. Thanks to the automaker’s pivot away from the compact crossover, the 2026 Escape can’t be sold nationwide, but thankfully, this rather unusual change doesn’t affect the 2026 Corsair’s availability.

It’s unclear how long the Lincoln Corsair will hang on, however. The luxury crossover built at the Louisville Assembly plant, which is slated to undergo a major retooling in December, signaling that the Corsair is on the chopping block and will be discontinued after the 2026 model year is built out. Once Louisville is back up and running, both the Corsair and the Escape are expected to be replaced by similarly sized all-electric models.
