The 2026 Lincoln Nautilus gains one new color known as Gray Matter Metallic Clearcoat. Here’s a first look at the new warm gray hue.
Gray Matter Metallic Clearcoat is identifiable by paint code EI. It’s offered on all three 2026 Lincoln Nautilus trims, including Premiere, Reserve, and Grand Touring. It’s also offered in conjunction with all available interior colorways across all trims, but interested buyers should note that the hue adds $750 to the overall cost of the luxury crossover.
Gray Matter Metallic is one of six exterior colors offered on the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus. They are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Whisper Blue Metallic Clearcoat (K1)
- Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (D4)
- Silver Radiance Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (JS)
- White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat (UG)
- Infinite Black Metallic Clearcoat (UM)
- Gray Matter Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (EI) (New for 2026)
Meanwhile, the following represents all available interior colorways:
- Black Onyx / Satin Black Ash
- Medium Light Space Gray / Satin Black Ash
- Hot Chocolate / Copper Code Aluminum
While it gained one new color, the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus lost two hues that were previously part of the pallet: Lustrous Gray Metallic Clearcoat and Diamond Red Metallic Clearcoat. Both, which were $750 options, were introduced for the 2024 model year, meaning they both had a relatively short run before being discontinued.
Other changes headed for the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus include the deletion of its Redwood Theme, which was previously available for Black Label models. This theme contained exclusive interior touches like Herringbone Marquetry Walnut appliques, a Harvest Bronze Sanctuary-wrapped interior, specialty leather seats, and Darked Smoked Truffle interior accents. In its place, the new Aurora theme is now on the order books, which brings a comforting blue colorway to the luxury crossover.
The 2026 Nautilus holds steady without any groundbreaking updates. That’s not surprising, considering the second-gen model only debuted a few years ago. While pricing for the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus is not yet available, it’s worth noting that as of this writing, Ford has no plans to move production of the luxury crossover stateside to avoid tariffs implemented by the Trump administration. The Nautilus, which is built in China, will continue to be imported to the U.S. despite said tariffs.

That color name is hysterical – at a time when Ford management has no gray matter.
