Ford Motor Company has filed to trademark Fathom, Fuze, Hive, and Mythic in the UK, Canada, the European Union, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand, Ford Authority has learned.
Filed on August 5th and 6th, 2025, these applications contain the goods and services description of “motor vehicles, namely, gasoline and electric automobiles, pick-up trucks, vans, sport utility vehicles and their structural parts.”
The Ford Authority Take
Ford has been on a bit of a trademark-filing frenzy as of late, seemingly look to secure the intellectual rights for what could be the names of more than one future vehicle. As Ford Authority reported earlier this month, those actions previously included trademark filings for Evos, Fathom, Fuze, Hive, and Mythic with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and now, most of those names are showing up in other parts of the world – save for the Evos, which was used fairly recently on a crossover sold in China, though that model was renamed the Mondeo Sport just last year.

Now, Ford has filed to trademark those same names in a variety of other countries, which could certainly imply that a number of new models will be added in the near future. It’s unclear what sorts of vehicles those names will be applied to, but it’s worth noting that the automaker just unveiled its new universal EV platform, which can support up to eight body styles – six of which were previewed at that particular reveal event.

The first model to launch utilizing that new platform will be a mid-size EV pickup, but it hasn’t yet been officially named, either. As Ford Authority recently reported, The Blue Oval filed to trademark “Ranchero” in the U.S. and a variety of other countries as well, which could be the name that it goes with for that particular model. However, it’s also possible that Ford may opt to use any one of these names for that model, too.

Sounds like names of the next wave of Japanese action figures toys….
