Ford Mustang Mach-E Violently Careens Into Car After Grinding Guardrail: Video

We’ve certainly seen our fair share of Blue Oval-related crashes over the years, most of which are caused by human error, as one would imagine. Oftentimes, people just simply don’t pay attention to what’s going on around them, or take their eyes off the road, which can lead to disaster quite quickly. We’ve seen this result in some horrific accidents over the years, and now, we’re seeing it happen yet again after a Ford Mustang Mach-E driver looks to have attempted to let a higher force take the wheel.

This particular accident took place in the San Francisco area recently, and was caught on film by a nearby driver that was on their way to work. They probably didn’t expect to see a green Ford Mustang Mach-E scraping along a concrete barrier while making that daily dredge, but that’s precisely what happened. The EV crossover passes by at high speed, hazard lights on, in a rather bizarre scene.

Making things even more bizarre is the fact that we can see the Ford Mustang Mach-E driver with their hands off the wheel, seemingly praying, which probably isn’t the best course of action in this case. In fact, things only escalate from here – the Mach-E proceeds to fly down the road before smashing into another vehicle that’s attempting to merge, and it winds up rolling over due to the tremendous impact of that collision.

Luckily, the person that shot the footage stated that neither driver was seriously injured as a result of this rather shocking crash, but it’s completely unclear why the Ford Mustang Mach-E driver didn’t try to stop the vehicle or steer it away from the barrier. Even if BlueCruise was activated, they can still easily override the system and take over, but they were clearly in a state of shock here – or perhaps suffering from some medical episode.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Another moronic TikTok stunt.

  2. I’m sure there’s going to be lawsuits galore here, even before the cause is eventually found. But, if steering or braking would have deactivated BlueCruise, any idea what ended the Mach-e operating at all after impact?

  3. It’s disgusting they are blaming the driver for this, there is OBVIOUSLY something wrong with the car. The steering wheel is clearly locked, how else would it have stayed turned into the barrier, and then swerve into the other side of the highway when his hands are not even on the wheel? It’s insane there is no e-brake or hard stop panic mechanism. This is clearly the fault of the manufacturer.

    1. Clearly you believe people dont do things like this for TIK TOK viral footage. There is no LOCK on the steering and he doesnt even touch the brakes (you can see its not lite up) just the flashers.. Who thinks of putting on the flashers and raising your hands to PRAY.. it was either a stunt or a mental issue

      1. Brake light don’t stay solid when hazard flashers are activated. This isn’t the only problem that these Mach-E Mustangs have, it’s evident that it’s clearly and electrical issue. He was trying to control the wheel which it was locked and he couldn’t stop.

        1. The high mount stop lamp would be illuminated, AND the Mach E has separate amber rear signal lamps. So the brake lights would have been illuminated regardless of safety hazard being on or not.

    2. How would you know the wheel s locked? He isn’t touching it. No brake lights are shown during the video. The brake lights are controlled by a switch on the pedal independent of the brakes themselves. The follow up will likely be that he was drunk or having some mental medical episode.

      1. I’m just a little confused because how does a car swerve if his hands are NOT on the wheel. This is no disrespect to your comment i seriously don’t know how something like this happens, also i believe if he was drunk they should do a drug/alcohol test no matter what right? I’m 16 i know nothing about the law or cars lol

    3. Well, genius, the driver was arrested for DUI, so OBVIOUSLY you were wrong.

  4. I have seen many tiktok stunts. An adult dressed for work, crashing a brand new car, is not likely to be that.

This sounds like some kind of Ford PR team trying to use a classic “Red Herring” logical falacy.

We don’t know what happened yet. We know both drivers walked away with no serious injuries, but the mach-e driver’s statement has apparently purposely been left out of any reports. This is a lil sus.

  5. Somebody was awfully selfish putting all of those innocent people’s lives at risk for a “stunt” during heavy traffic!

  6. I own a Mustang Mach e, and have used Blue Cruise many times with NO issues so I have to agree it was a stunt or a medical issue. This is not the fault of Ford or the Mach e in my opinion.
ps; the steering wheel will not lock unless the vehicle is turned off ( ie; without power ) and No I am not employed by Ford in any capacity!

  12. “He could’ve done this or that,” syfm, your car should have never done that to begin with. Unsafe, deserves a lawsuit and no one should ever buy a Ford EV.

Quite literally a resemblance of wd2 which is also set in san francisco.
