Jay Leno Took His Ford Mustang GTD To A Car Meet: Video

Just last week, comedian and mega car enthusiast Jay Leno debuted a rather interesting video documenting the delivery of his brand new Ford Mustang GTD, in which he was accompanied by Blue Oval CEO Jim Farley himself. Given the fact that Leno has a rather massive collection of vehicles already – including many notable ones wearing Ford badges – it was no surprise that he was among the first to take delivery of the Ford Mustang GTD, and it seems as if he’s not wasting any time driving or showing off the incredibly capable road-going machine, either.

Rather, the folks behind the YouTube channel Speedster404 just spotted Leno and his Ford Mustang GTD at a car meet up in Angel’s Crest, California recently, where he joined a large group of Toyota Supra owners, it seems. Leno is keen to show off his shiny new ride – and its rear suspension that’s visible through the rear glass, specifically. Leno is quite warm and friendly with the gathering of interested car enthusiasts as well, which pretty much fits his reputation for being a real one himself.

Leno previously revealed that his 2025 Ford Mustang GTD was spec’d out to be a proper driver’s car, as he opted for the Performance Pack and its many aero upgrades and other focused goodies. His GTD bears serial number 12 – just like his pair of Ford GTs, too. Interestingly, even with its more hardcore spec, Leno noted after slipping behind the wheel of his latest acquisition that it’s “way more civilized than I thought it would be.”

“You could drive this everyday,” Leno added, but he was also quick to point out that one in trouble pretty quick if they opt to lay into the go pedal too much. “If you’re finding the limits of this thing on the public road, you’re going to jail,” he said. Regardless, in spite of its rather hefty curb weight, Leno walked away impressed with how the GTD handles, too. “In a complimentary way, it’s like a Miata. It feels extremely light and nimble on its feet.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  2. Makes me wonder what will happen to all Leno’s cars. He has no family to leave them too. He probably has a plan to have them auctioned..
I like Leno, he was the best at doing the tonight show. Not the same now.
