Ursa Minor’s Ford Bronco Hard Top Debuts For Camping Enthusiasts

The sixth-gen Ford Bronco is a capable off-road machine, built to appeal to the daily driver and off-road enthusiasts alike. In fact, the SUV was designed to double as a comfy camper, and a new hard top option elevates the SUV’s comfiness without the need for a bulky camper add-on.

The hard top, available from camper specialist company Ursa Minor, turns the Ford Bronco into a pop-up camper. Said pop-up increases headroom inside the Bronco when it’s fully engaged – enough for an adult to stand up in. When not in use, the lightweight hard top stores flat, barely adding to the off-road SUV’s profile.

The camper top is compatible with any 2021 and newer Ford Bronco trim, including Raptor and Everglades, and is designed to accommodate the Raptor’s extra B-pillar crossbar and the Everglades snorkal. However, it is exclusively available for four-door models; the company states it has no intention to release a two-door compatible hard top.

The camper hard top also offers optional extras like the Traveler Package, which includes outlets, additional lights, and storage for $600. Roof rack mounts and complete systems are available for $175 to $925, and buyers who want to create a seamless look can opt for the color-matched top, shell, or complete assembly, ranging from $450 to $2,700 depending on what they select. Buyers can also reach out to Ursa Minor with any ideas they have for customization options that are not listed.

Pricing for the hard top camper starts at $11,500. It’s available on the company’s website. Interested parties should note that each hart top is made to order, and all purchases require a 20 percent down payment. Installation can be completed on-site in Portland, Oregon, or the camper can be shipped directly to the customer, both in the U.S. and internationally.

As a reminder, pricing for the 2025 Ford Bronco four-door starts at $38,995.

  • So one buys a soft top 4 dr buys this for $11500 or pays $3000 or so for the hard top and for top tent ? One can remove the roof top tent not needed this might be lil heavy to remove when not out on s expedition

    • A Ford OEM Hard top lists for $5500 on ford.com/accessories To mount a roof top tent requires a rack of some type, not necessarily OEM but a rack is $950 on the Ford site. Roof top tent will run $2000 to $5000 depending on brand/features. That totals to $8500 at least and could be up at $11,500. It's not cheap but average for overlanding set up.
