When Ford Authority spotted a curious Ford F-150 Lightning prototype undergoing testing, one detail stood out to us: it wore the same 18-inch wheels available as an option on the Ford F-150 STX appearance package. Ford pulled the sheets off the 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX, which packs a number of off-road-oriented goodies. We’re highlighting the rugged all-electric pickup today in the following photo gallery.
The 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX replaces the XLT trim. It can be easily identified by its prominent STX branding, which adorns the bedside and hood. It features blue accents all around too, including an accent line bisecting its front grille right behind the Ford logo. That theming is also prominent inside the cabin, which feature Grabber Blue STX embroidery on the seatbacks and blue stitching. This particular pickup is painted in Argon Blue, which is a new color for the 2026 model year.
As for the guts, the 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX is a bit meaner than its “regular” brethren. It features a standard e-locking rear differential, while it also gets the same running boards as the F-150 Tremor. Its 18-inch wheels are wrapped in meaty all-terrain tires, and the electric pickup features the extended range battery as standard fare, providing up to 290 miles of range. Its dual motors deliver 536 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, more than enough to propel the off-road-oriented pickup.
Deliveries of the 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX are scheduled to begin in early 2026, and it’s priced at of $63,345 to start, not including destination freight charges. Ford is confident that the rugged EV will appeal to a large customer base, marrying off-road capabilities with all-electric performance.
Along with the addition of the 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX, the electric pickup is getting a few new exterior color options as well: the aforementioned Argon Blue, Marsh Gray (which we spotted on a prototype last month), and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, which join Agate Black Metallic, Antimatter Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Oxford White, and Star White Metallic Tri-Coat.
