Ford Bronco Owners Can Now Get Raptor’s Skid Plates In One Kit

Sixth-generation Ford Bronco owners certainly have their fair share of aftermarket parts and accessories to choose from these days, but given how popular those rugged SUVs are to modify, that list keeps growing by the day, too. Whether we’re talking about visual enhancements or parts that increase capability or performance, the sky is quite literally the limit in that regard. As for The Blue Oval itself, it’s been adding a variety of parts from the Ford Bronco Raptor for regular Ford Bronco owners to purchase, and that list now includes the high-performance variant’s skid plates as one singular kit.

Back in June, the Ford Bronco catalog added the Bronco Raptor fuel tank skid plate as an option for owners to purchase, which costs $395 and – interestingly – isn’t part of this new kit, so one will have to purchase it separately to complete the set. Regardless, the new Bronco Raptor skid plate kit is listed in the Blue Oval’s catalog under part number M-5018-BR4 with a retail price of $1,055.

This new Ford Bronco Raptor skid plate kit fits all 2021-2026 two- and four-door Broncos, but they must also be equipped with the steel or modular front bumper for it to work. The kit contains the OEM Bronco Raptor front, under-engine, transmission, and transfer case skit plates, plus a powder-coated skid plate adaptor and transmission shield cross brace bracket, and all of the necessary hardware one needs to install it.

Those that tend to spend a lot of time off-roading their Ford Bronco could certainly benefit from installing this particular kit, helping protect the SUV’s vital components from incurring damage out on the trails – which is particularly common when rock crawling. If nothing else, it’s a relatively cheap insurance policy versus having to shell out a bunch of money to replace pricier bits if that is the case.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Ford has a better idea? Sure would be great if Ford Accessories put on their Thinking Caps as well as their Imagination Caps and come up with an Accessory Catalog full of Camping Gear for all occasions for each SUV and Adventure Vehicle we have to offer.
And I’m talking about Chairs, Coolers, Heaters, Grills, Tools and Pick-Nick Baskets, and Sturdy Pick-Nick Table and Chairs Tents (plural) not just on top of the vehicles (which is hooky at best, bigger tents 4 man to 10. Let’s go camping with Ford, Bronco, Sport, Explorer to Expedition. Let’s go Big Jim Farley.
