Ford Fusion MPV Gets ST Worthy Interior After Upgrades: Video

The European Ford Fusion MPV certainly looks like what it is: a barebones, no-frills commuter car. But with a little creativity – and the know-how – it’s the perfect blank slate for all manner of upgrades. YouTuber Jack McNeill took his lime green Fiesta MPV and slapped some notable interior upgrades on it, turning it into something that would be worthy of an ST badge.

Ford never actually made the Ford Fusion ST, but that just inspired McNeill and his team to create one for themselves. Hence its bright green hue and various other upgrades, but this time, it’s time to add some extras to its interiors. They acquired a handful of genuine ST parts from a donor vehicle, but first things first. The interior must be stripped down completely.

Once it’s all gutted, the next step is to take the tan-colored plastic pieces from the Ford Fusion MPV and paint them black, a more ST-appropriate color. They also dye the headliner to match, and while they’re waiting for that to dry, they install some door handles and window tint to give the hatchback a sleeker, sportier look.

Finally, kit’s time to install the seats. McNeill took them directly from a Ford Fiesta ST, and he had them reupholstered with the exact green hue found in the Focus ST, too. They’re correct right down to the ST embroidery on the seatbacks. McNeill also installs aluminum pedals to round out the ensemble, along with a shifter emblazoned with the ST logo. All in once piece now, the Ford Fusion MPV looks pretty damn close to a factory ST model, putting it one step closer to the real deal.

Yes, this is the same Fusion MPV that McNeill fitted with the powertrain from a Ford Fiesta ST, doubling its horsepower and halving its zero to 60 mph time in one fell swoop.
