Naked Ford Bronco Sport Driver Arrested After Pursuit: Video

We’ve certainly seen our fair share of bizarre incidents over the years, many of which are automotive related. Most recently, that included watching as a Ford Mustang Mach-E driver flew down the highway scraping a guardrail before crossing multiple lanes and smashing into another vehicle, which was strange given the fact that the driver – who was later charged with driving under the influence – opted to take their hands off the wheel and pray instead of trying to retake control. Now, we have another odd incident, this time, involving a naked woman and a Ford Bronco Sport.

According to KTLA 5 News, the whole thing started in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, when police were dispatched over multiple reports of a woman screaming. When they arrived, the wound up in pursuit of the Ford Bronco Sport, though the driver eventually stopped the vehicle in Westwood. However, rather that exiting the vehicle, the driver opted to stay inside, creating a standoff with surrounding police in the middle of the street.

During that standoff, the woman crawled into the back seat of the Ford Bronco Sport, where a dog was present, and even threw a hammer out of the vehicle at one point. After several armored vehicles surrounded the crossover and a few hours had passed, the driver crawled out of the vehicle – totally naked, it seems – and began to try and get on the roof before stepping onto the street.

That didn’t last long, as officers sprung into action – towel in hand – and covered up the nude driver before taking her into custody. The bizarre incident ultimately lasted around four hours, though it’s unclear why it happened in the first place, nor what the driver will be charged with. Regardless, police had to shut down the road over that time span, which reportedly caused quite the traffic backup, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. lol, it took at least three assault vehicles to stop a crossover with a screaming naked woman armed with a hammer and a dog. I “can’t image” why it took four hours to secure the situation… I had a friend that was swatted (phony call saying he had kidnapped a child) and his vehicle was pulled over and surrounded by regular cop cars with officer’s approaching him and weapons drawn, it was one of the most traumatic experiences of his life.

If handling situations like this requires the police to utilize vehicles designed to operate in a war zone (other than federal funding aside and making the vehicles available. I’m sure the safety argument was made) as well as cops dressed like soldiers, then that says a lot about the lunacy that is the United States.

  2. …think it says way more about the lack of good parenting when the person was growing up.

Folks complain to the factory when their car isn’t assembled well,.
IMHO, I think the same logic has merit in these situations.
