S650 Ford Mustang Carbon Fiber Hood Vents Revealed

The S650 Ford Mustang launched for the 2024 model year, and as has historically been the case, the newest pony car has since been treated to a bevy of new parts and accessories owners can choose from. In the Ford Performance catalog, that list most recently includes carbon fiber spoilers for the GT and Dark Horse in matte and gloss black finishes, along with carbon fiber mirror caps. Now, with the lightweight material continuing to prove popular with enthusiasts, the S650 Ford Mustang is gaining new carbon fiber hood vents, too.

As is the case with the aforementioned S650 Ford Mustang carbon fiber rear spoilers and mirror caps, these new carbon fiber hood vents are also available in two different finishes – gloss, under part number M-16612-MG, and matte, via part number M-16612-MM. No matter which one buyers choose from, the price is the same – $1,215. However, in this case, the carbon fiber hood vents only fit 2024-2025 GT and Dark Horse models, and not the entry-level EcoBoost.

That’s because the hood vents are a direct replacement for the OEM components, meaning that they’re easy to install and don’t require any drilling or cutting to do so. The carbon vents are created using an autoclave process with pre-preg 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth, and the kit includes not only those pieces, but also, all of the fasteners needed for installation as well.

These new carbon fiber hood vents perfectly match with the aforementioned rear spoilers and mirror caps, meaning that S650 Ford Mustang owners could swap out several parts for a more custom and cohesive look. On top of that, the automaker also sells a carbon fiber front splitter for GT and Dark Horse models as well, and there are even some carbon fiber wheel options out there to choose from – though they aren’t cheap by any means.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
