With motorsports running deep in its bloodline, the 2006 Ford GT is a living legend, although it’s one most Blue Oval enthusiasts will only dream of driving, let alone owning. But that will change for one lucky winner, and Ford Authority readers now have the opportunity to win a 2006 GT thanks to a new sweepstakes Shelby American Collection. To make your odds a little better, we even have a code that will net 25 percent more entries with every donation (see below for details).
The 2006 Ford GT up for grabs is one of just 190 examples that were painted in Midnight Blue with painted white stripes over Ebony leather. It’s a one-owner vehicle with just 235 miles racked up since new, meaning it’s practically brand new and hasn’t even been broken in.
Power under the hood of the 2006 Ford GT is supplied by the supercharged Ford 5.4L V8 engine, which was factory-rated to produce 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and helical limited-slip differential. It features forged aluminum BBS wheels, Brembo brakes with red calipers, HID headlights, a front splitter, rear diffuser, and air conditioning. It also boasts a McIntosh stereo system.
The Shelby American Collection is a nonprofit organization based in Boulder, Colorado. The collection houses a number of vehicles on loan from owners and collectors, along with plenty of race records, photographs, and other memorabilia from Shelby American history. That includes artifacts of Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles, Dan Gurney, Bob Bondurant, Phil Hill, Allen Grant, Phil Remington and more, just to name a few. The museum is staffed and run completely by volunteers.
Interested parties have plenty of time to throw their names in the hat. Entries will close on February 22nd, 2026 to put their name in the hat. Inputting “FORDAUTHORITY” will grant 25 percent more tickets, increasing your chance of winning this stunning 2006 Ford GT. The winner will be drawn on February 28th.
Head here to grab your tickets before time runs out.
