Ford Mustang GT3 Wraps Up 2025 In Style With A Win

Throughout its first season as a Blue Oval outfit, Haupt Racing Team (HRT) has made friends with the Ford Mustang GT3. Competing full-time in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), HRT concluded the 2025 season by securing its third straight podium – and by winning the Pro-Am class.

Vincent Kolb and Frank Stippler shared the No. 6 Ford Mustang GT3 for the last race of the 2025 NLS season on October 11th, 2025, while Dennis Fetzer, Patrick Assenheimer and Fabio Scherer shared seat time in its sister HRT entry, the No. 9 Mustang GT3. Both racers were blisteringly fast right off the truck, securing a front-row lockout in qualifying, leading the field to the green flag for the three-hour sprint. The No. 9 Mustang even set an NLS series record in qualifying, thanks to its 7:48.717 lap.

Kolb and Stippler spearheaded The Blue Oval’s efforts, crossing the line in third place in the SP9 Pro division. The finish marked HRT’s third podium finish in as many races, proving that the team has a handle on the Ford Mustang GT3 racers.

“Finishing the last race of the season on the podium means a lot to the team and myself,” Kolb said after the race. “I am very happy with the season, the team and the Ford Mustang GT3. Now the 2026 season planning can start.”

Meanwhile, the No. 9 Mustang GT3 crossed the line just behind its sister entry, wrapping up the season with a fourth-place finish. However, their performance was good enough to put them on top of the standings in the Pro-Am class, bringing home the trophy for HRT and Ford.

“What we did in qualifying today was super cool. It was a testament to how hard everyone has worked throughout the year,” said Scherer. “The race conditions were difficult, which was a learning curve. But, the Mustang GT3 had great pace.”

He added, “I don’t have any words. In my second time on the Nordschleife, driving a 7:48 is insane. The Mustang GT3 was incredible. The pace was mega. We’ve worked very hard all year, and to earn a pole position like this is insane.”
