The Ford Authority Take
Back in early September, The Blue Oval announced that it would be rebranding its Ford Performance division into Ford Racing, with the goal of continuing to drive innovation for both road and racing machines. These efforts extend to customer racing programs and Ford’s range of performance vehicles, as well as merchandising operations, uniting the road and race car development programs under one neatly integrated operation.
Given the large amount of merchandise that bears the Ford Performance logo today, it should come as no surprise that the automaker is looking to capitalize on this change, too. Judging by these two trademark filings, Ford Racing will soon be everywhere from various pieces of apparel to future performance-focused vehicles, which is also currently the case with Ford Performance logos donning vehicles like the current Raptor lineup.
However, Ford Racing won’t be the only forthcoming merchandise onslaught from The Blue Oval – rather, it’s also preparing to roll out a new line of goods based on its latest marketing campaign, “Ready Set Ford.” As Ford Authority reported just yesterday, the automaker also recently trademarked that same slogan with plans to use it on a wide array of apparel and similar goods, which we imagine will start rolling out very soon.
