Ford Ranger Raptor Desert Pack Debuts For Australia

The Ford Ranger has been a smash hit in Australia for a long time, with the current-generation model ranking as The Blue Oval’s best-selling model in that country and even taking down its arch-rival, the Toyota Hilux, which had previously dominated the sales charts. That’s also true of the Ford Ranger Raptor, which accounts for a sizable percentage of those sales, to the point where it even outsells other model lines and even entire brands in Australia. Now, Aussie Ford Ranger Raptor shoppers have an even more capable variant to choose from.

As first reported by CarExpert, that new variant is the 2026 Ford Ranger Raptor Desert Pack, a limited-edition offering consisting of 500 units that will be offered to shoppers for an extra cost of $5,990, including dealer installation. That particular upgrade adds a variety of nifty kit to the high-performance off-road pickup – an ARB sports bar, Desert Pack decals, four ARB Nacho Quatro lamps mounted on the roof bar, and a set of Ford Performance all-weather floor mats for front and rear passengers.

For now at least, the ARB sports car and Nacho Quatro lamps will only be available via the Desert Pack – however, once all 500 units are accounted for, customers will be able to purchase them separately from Blue Oval dealers. As for the Ford Ranger Raptor Desert Pack itself, that takes inspiration from off-road racing endeavors, including Ford’s three consecutive Stock Class wins at Australia’s Finke Desert Race. Order banks for the new package are open now, with production expected to begin later this month.

“The Ranger Raptor has proven itself in the toughest conditions imaginable, setting records at Finke in the Stock Class competition and demonstrating genuine, real-world, desert racing capability,” said Ford Australia marketing director Ambrose Henderson.

“The Desert Pack celebrates that racing heritage while delivering the authentic off-road enhancements that our most enthusiastic customers have been asking for. By partnering with ARB, we’re bringing that same spirit of extreme performance to customers who demand that little bit extra capability and style from their Raptor.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
