Lincoln Navigator Sales Overwhelmingly Came From America In 2024

The Lincoln Navigator is among a small number of vehicles that Ford builds in the U.S. and exports to certain other markets, including China, while much of the rest of its lineup in that particular country is built locally. Following the implementation of tariffs on imported vehicles a few months ago, Ford opted to suspend some of those exports, but as Ford Authority previously reported, that didn’t include the Navigator, which continues to ship to China, in spite of tariffs. However, the vast majority of Lincoln Navigator SUV sales occur in the U.S., anyway.

In a recent post from JATO Dynamics automotive analyst Felipe Munoz, we’re learning that roughly 18,000 Lincoln Navigators were sold across the entire globe in 2024, which seems to be a rounded figure. Regardless, we know that 15,531 of those sales came from the United States last year, meaning that only a very small quantity – around 2,500 units – were sold in markets outside of the states.

By comparison, the chief rival of the Lincoln Navigator – the Cadillac Escalade – sold in much larger quantities in global markets, topping these charts in terms of large luxury SUVs with 48,750 sales, when we combine the regular and extended length models.

As Ford Authority previously reported, Lincoln President Dianne Craig confirmed that the brand will continue to ship the Lincoln Navigator to markets like China, though she did add that the SUV sells in “relatively low volumes” in that market. This data certainly seems to back up that statement, even though we don’t have a breakdown of Navigator sales in every global market it’s sold in, as we can see from the large percentage that come from the U.S. “At this point, we haven’t made any adjustments but it won’t have any big impact right now on our Lincoln China business,” Craig added.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
