2024 Ford Mustang GT Window Question

Hello all, just received my 2024 Mustang GT Premium. It is well known that the windows will close only to about 3/8″. But when you close the doors, the windows then fully seat. Does anyone know WHY Ford did this to many Mustang years.
What was their logic for it?
