I am trying to figure out why the “Pro Access Tailgate” isn’t available to the pros that use Fords trucks. Checking the build and price on Fords website I found that it requires a Lariat w/501A pkg. and Bed Utility Pkg. to get the “Pro Access Tailgate.” As an X-Plan user that translates into a $65,761 Lariat! Here in the midwest the “Pros” don’t drive $65-$66,000 trucks. They drive XLs, maybe XLTs. Owners or managers of the pros drive Lariats and above! This should be an option or alternative across all levels. Cool , useful tools shouldn’t be limited to folks with cool, larger bank accounts.
