During December 2020, a new Ford Expedition discount drops the price of select models by as much as $8,000. However, interested parties should note that the offer is only available in select markets/regions and applies only to 2020 model year vehicles.

The cashback amounts can vary by market, though the alternative incentives appear to be be less generous than the headlining offer. Notably, we did not observe any special-financing offers for the Expedition this month.

Ford Expedition Incentives

As we mentioned above, Ford Expedition discount offers during December 2020 are available nationwide with varying cash back amounts. As such, we’re listing the heftiest observed offers by market below:

  • New York: $6,250 cash for all 2020 models
  • Detroit: $2,000 cash for all 2020 models, except Platinum models
    • May require Ford Credit Financing
  • Miami: $8,000 cash for XLT 4×2 models
  • Los Angeles: $6,250 cash for all 2020 models

Additionally, the following featured lease offer is available in select markets:

  • $429 per month for 24 months
    • Applies to XLT 4×4 SWB models
    • $429 due at signing
    • Security deposit fee waived
    • Observed in the Detroit market

As of this writing, all of the above offers are set to expire on January 4rd, 2021, though Ford can change that expiration date as well as the actual offers at any point during the month. And while The Blue Oval is no longer offering incentives for 2019 Expeditions models, it is possible that dealers could extend their own discounts on any leftover models still sitting on lots.

For reference, below we list 2020 Expedition trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including destination charge:

  • XLT – $55,150
  • Limited – $65,685
  • King Ranch – $75,235
  • Platinum – $76,275
  • XLT Max – $58,175
  • Limited Max – $68,715
  • King Ranch Max – $77,930
  • Platinum Max – $79,305

  • For all those that purchased an Expedition this year, your vehicles value just dropped by $8,000.00. Another way of saying it, you Way Over Paid. As usual, if you don't mind driving it for many years, you'll be okay, if on the other hand, if you plan on trading, or selling any time soon.....God Bless you.
