The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport debuted late last year as FoMoCo’s first entry in the all-new Bronco family of off-road vehicles. Despite being a brand-new model, the focus of the Ford Motor Company on battery electric vehicles is evidently clear, as the Dearborn-based automaker will be gradually replacing its gasoline-powered vehicles with battery-electric equivalents. At this point, it’s a relatively safe bet that many models in the Ford lineup will transition to fully electric drivetrains by the end of the decade, with the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning potentially serving as a precedent of sorts for other models to follow. To that end, graphic designer KDesign AG certainly believes that to be the case, and if their work is anything to go by, a Bronco Sport with 2022 F-150 Lightning design cues will look quite well.
Essentially, KDesign AG simply swapped the Bronco Sport’s front and rear lightning elements for the setup prominently featured on the all-new electric F-150 Lightning pickup. The current Bronco Sport’s headlights with signature halos have been fully replaced with squared off headlamps from the F-150 Lightning. The grille got carried over as well, and as is the case with the full-size truck, it seemingly lacks any pass-throughs for air, since a radiator would be completely unnecessary without an internal combustion engine under the hood.
But arguably the biggest departure involves the contents of center of the grille, as the artist wisely installed the requisite Bronco lettering front and center in place of the Blue Oval logo that resides in that area on the F-150 Lightning.
Out back, the full-width taillights from the F-150 Lightning electric truck also make an appearance too, and the impact of their inclusion is quite extensive. For starters, the Bronco Sport badges moved downward, and they now reside on the same horizontal plane as The Blue Oval logo on the current model. Another interesting adjustment is the backup camera and rear hatch release handles being relocated upward, right below the taillight strip.
Aesthetically, the changes look quite tasteful and attractive, though we should note that, in practice, they will also result in a different angle of the rear view camera, possibly for the better. That said, the configuration would also result in diminished functionality of the integrated hand holds on either side of the lens. Placing them higher on the rear hatch door would make it more difficult to lift the rear hatch. Regardless the incorporation of some elements, the F-150 Lightning look acquits itself nicely on the small rugged crossover.
By the end of the decade, models like the Bronco Sport will most likely switch over to a battery electric powertrain. While they directly emulate the F-150 Lightning, these renderings clearly demonstrate that the style pioneered by Ford’s all-new electric truck has traction beyond the nameplate and beyond that single model.

are the F150 lightning exterior bits a dealer option that can be installed by dealer ? Also what is the cost ? If not a dealer product where can you buy them ?
The Bronco Sport looks great with the F-150, Lightning lamp bar and taillights while giving it a more modern look. The F-150, Lightning parts are not deal option and can’t be bought at the moment
Looks great if you like the looks of Nissan. Certainly gets much further away from the Classic Bronco that it was intentionally meant to mimic.
