The 2024 Busch Light Clash kicked off the season with a bang on Saturday night after inclement weather and flood warnings prompted the sanctioning body to run the exhibition race early, canceling Sunday’s event and taking to the track on February 3rd, 2024 instead. Unfortunately, the Clash didn’t fall in the favor of the NASCAR Ford teams, as they chased the No. 11 Toyota TRD Camry of Denny Hamlin across the line.
Ryan Blaney, defending Cup Series champion and driver of the No. 12 NASCAR Ford Mustang, finished third, the best of all The Blue Oval teams. His performance was nothing short of impressive, as he started at the rear of the 23-car field and steadily muscled his way to third by the time the checkered flag dropped.
Meanwhile, Joey Logano finished fourth in the No. 22 Mustang after leading eight laps, as he just wasn’t able to push back to the front at the end of the race.
Hamlin led 58 laps on his way to the win, and was tailed by Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 8 Chevy Camaro ZL1, who finished second.
As a reminder, the Clash is not a point-paying event and does not count toward the 2024 Cup Series championship. It also represents the first race for the NASCAR Ford Mustang Dark Horse, which has not seen much on-track testing since its inception.

Excellent question … I wonder if the revised schedule didn’t allow them time to reveal it?
