As most are well aware by now, the Ford F-Series line of pickups has long been America’s favorite, as well as a tremendous profit generator for the automaker itself. In fact, the Ford F-Series has held the title of both the best-selling pickup and best-selling vehicle, overall, for decades in the U.S., a trend that doesn’t appear to be any closer to coming to an end as we near the conclusion of 2024. In fact, the F-Series held on to both of those titles once again this past year, extending its historical streak in the process.
The Ford F-Series is officially the best-selling truck in America in 2024, which extends its unprecedented streak to 48 years in that regard, as well as 43 straight years that the same model has closed out the year as the top-selling vehicle in the U.S. of any kind. Ford has sold a whopping 33 million F-Series pickups since 1977, which is a truly astounding figure, as well as a streak that doesn’t look likely to end anytime soon.

The Ford F-150 is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, and just received a refresh for the 2024 model year. It’s part of a rather expansive lineup that also includes the hybrid PowerBoost and the all-electric F-150 Lightning, and is joined by the equally-popular and expansive Ford Super Duty line that is receiving a host of updates for the 2025 model year following its latest redesign for 2023 – setting it up for success in the coming year, too.

Considering GM makes both Chevy and GM and combined they outsell the F series.
That's like adding Hyundai, Kia and Genesis all together for vehicles sold .
So, how many GMC buyers would buy another brand if GMC would discontinue building pickups. I'll bet they're not eager to find out.

Maybe Ford should consider switching to next model year production in July-Aug so the new model year would be available in September'-October like other truck
Manufacturers instead of producing them into December and not having new model year until February or March
Why does Ford lump all of the F series together? Let's see the numbers for just the F150?? And just a F250?? Last I checked there isn't much that makes these trucks the same.
