  • Purchased 2025 F150 Lariet Jan 9, 2025. A few days later the shift lever "froze" in the recessed position. it became free by itself the next day. Next the " Service Vehicle " light started coming on . One Ford Service Representative tried telling me that it must be an oil issue. AT 500 MILES!! I left it at Griffith Ford; they had it for 2 full days for Diagnostics, but offered no solution. The warning light continued to come on intermittently. I've gone back to the dealership a couple of times and they wanted me to leave the vehicle for several days.
On March 23,2025 while backing into my shed the shift lever " froze" in reverse. Upon shutting the vehicle off, I couldn't restart it in reverse. On exiting the vehicle I tried the remote start feature on the fob. IT STARTED IN REVERSE! I still couldn't shift though.
I've taken the truck to a different dealership and after 3 days they have diagnosed the problem as a defective transmission module. It'll be at least another 5 days at the dealership.
The truck is a nice shade of red which I've named the Red Lemon.
