2026 Lincoln Meridian Debuts As All-New Subcompact Luxury Van

As Blue Oval fans are already well aware, Lincoln stopped selling sedans (and pickups) years ago, and currently fields a lineup composed of nothing more than crossovers and SUVs. Many have been clamoring for the return of sedans to Lincoln’s lineup, and yet, the luxurious brand seems content to stick to its proverbial guns, at least, for now. However, in other markets, luxurious vans have quickly become a thing – and that’s precisely the motivation behind the all-new 2026 Lincoln Meridian.

Not too long after Lexus launched its ultra-popular and ultra-luxurious LM mini-van in select parts of the world, Ford has opted to join that small but burgeoning market with the 2026 Lincoln Meridian. Based on the Ford Tourneo Courier sold in Europe, the new subcompact Meridian is what Lincoln considers to be a “white space” vehicle – or one designed to fill a gap in the luxury brand’s existing lineup. It certainly does that, as Lincoln doesn’t currently sell any sort of van, nor has it ever.

Now, the 2026 Lincoln Meridian will aim to fill that large gap by building on the tremendous success of the Caspian, based on the Ford Puma, which just became the brand’s best-selling vehicle in the U.S. last year, when buyers scooped up 100,000 units of that model. The Meridian will share powertrains with the Caspian, but it will also offer a large array of unique features that aren’t currently available on any other new vehicle, too.

Those features start with the first-ever Lincoln Drone Pickup & Delivery service, which will utilize massive, heavy-duty drones to physically pick up and fly Meridian Black Label vans to and from Lincoln stores as needed, where they can receive maintenance and repairs without the owner having to lift a finger or fight traffic. The luxurious van will also use artificial intelligence-powered doors that automatically open for both the driver and passengers, and comes with a full Alcantara interior.

Inside, the 2026 Lincoln Meridian even features a luxurious third row that’s designed especially for infants. In fact, it comes stocked with Lincoln Premium Baby Formula, plus a system that automatically determines when it’s running low and can automatically reorder supplies as needed. There’s even an optional “Lincoln Rejuvenate Infant Edition” feature that adds extra speakers that play special sounds designed to calm babies and cut down on those noisy crying sessions, which is sure to make the van a hit with young families. In fact, the 2026 Lincoln Meridian is expected to quickly become that brand’s most popular vehicle, overall.

If one hasn’t figured it out by now, the 2026 Lincoln Meridian is just another part of our annual April Fools’ Day content, and will never see the light of day – though we imagine that some folks wish it would!
