This is why after 6 Explorers I decide to go GM and purchase a 25 Tahoe. This RVC issue is never ending and shows that the system was never properly engineered or tested.
The GM software is flawless so far.
I had the same rear camera recall issue on my 2024 Ford Maverick the dealer has yet to schedule my vehicle in for the recall…lousy dealership.
My Ford dealer addressed the recall on the back up camera on my Maverick hybrid, but said Ford has not yet come up with a fix. The camera has malfunctioned a few times. It was documented on the work order when I picked up the truck.
This is truly incompetence. My ‘17 F150 never had these issues.
Our 2015 Ford Fusion has been repaired four times. three cameras and the deck lid harness. we were told by the dealer that if it happened again they would take care of it. The next time it happened was a year after, we took it to the dealer and the hit us with our five hundred dollar deductable. The problem happens only when you need it most. But dealer couldn’t verify the problem any of the times we left it. I have worked for Ford for forty years, but we always fixed the problem no matter how long it took. I’m now retired and wont go back to my dealer again!
