The fact of the matter is that every time you get on the road, you’re sharing it with other people, like it or not. A recent viral dashcam video shows that the driver of a Ford F-150 apparently didn’t get that memo – their indecisiveness becomes an inconvenience – and a danger – to drivers around them.
The Reddit community r/IdiotsInCars hosts plenty of drivers like the one in this Ford F-150, giving cammers a way to venttheir frustration with other drivers on the road. The cammer was unfortunately behind the wayward F-150, which signaled as though its driver meant to come over into the cammer’s lane. The cammer wisely slows, but the Ford F-150 does not complete the lane change. In fact, it continues straight, its blinker still on.
It doesn’t stop there, though. The driver of the Ford F-150 clearly has no idea where they’re headed, but at least they used their blinkers. They finally finish the lane change, entering the cammer’s lane a few cars ahead, and, right blinker still on, they guide the pickup to the rightmost lane. Apparently, that’s not where they want to be – they immediately flick on the left blinker and reenter the lane they were just in. Problem is, that lane forks away from the current road.
Again, the Ford F-150 is clearly not where it’s supposed to be. Instead of following the legal flow of traffic through the fork, the driver yanks it to the right, crossing a solid white line and diving in front of traffic so they can make their exit. We understand that serpentine maneuvers – at least in a track setting – are difficult and can be the mark of a good driver, but in this case, it just signals this driver is an idiot.
It’s quite common for drivers to space out and forget that they do, in fact, share the road – like this Ford Explorer that ignored everyone else in their vicinity in NYC.
