We’ve certainly seen our fair share of questionable vehicle modifications over the years, as it seems that a select group of people just like pushing the envelope – or the buttons of onlookers, at least. From wild paint jobs to tacked-on body parts, stanced wheels and tires, or even Houston’s famous “slabs” with giant protruding spokes from their wheels, these mods also range in scope from downright ugly to potential safety violations. As for this Ford Taurus with a set of gigantic bull horns on the hood, well, one could argue that it’s equal parts humorous and dangerous.
Recently, the Ontario Provincial Police in Canada posted some photos of this Ford Taurus, which they spotted not as the result of a traffic stop, but rather, an interesting inquiry. Turns out, a pair of young men stopped by the police department recently to ask law enforcement if such a thing was legal and OK to drive around with, but as one might imagine, slapping gigantic bull horns to the hood of one’s ride can be a bit of a safety concern.
“No, you cannot use bolts to attach a big set of horns like this to the hood of your car,” the department wrote on a recent Facebook post. “These young men dropped in to the Central Hastings OPP Detachment this afternoon to ask if adding this unique modification was okay. Once the sergeant explained that it was a hazard and not acceptable, the young men deposited the horns back in the trunk. We’re glad they asked!!”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a set of bull horns on a Blue Oval vehicle – rather, back in 2023, a Ford Crown Victoria owner converted his large sedan into a literal livestock transporter, which he used to move a big bull around town in. While that strange bull transporter seemed to work just fine, the owner did wind up getting a citation, however.
