Over the years, we’ve seen our fair share of Ford E-350 models used for all sorts of purposes, ranging from hauling families and passengers around town to full-blown camper conversions with overlanding features that enable owners to get out in the wilderness for days at a time. The E-350 is truly the type of vehicle that can do all kinds of things well, and that includes serving as an ambulance. Every so often, we see a Ford E-350 ambulance surface for sale as well, and now, we can add this 1995 model to that list.
This 1995 Ford E-350 ambulance is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 24k miles on the clock, and as such, it looks to be in fantastic condition. Originally converted into an ambulance using the Ford Ambulance Preparation Package, this E-350 also later received a four-wheel drive conversion from Quigley. It was used by a county in Virginia for some time before being acquired by the selling dealer earlier this year, and sports Oxford White paint with details such as diamond-plate trim, clearance lights, a two-way radio antenna, towing mirrors, and side steps on the outside.
Inside, one will find gray cloth upholstered captain’s chairs up front, along with accessory switch panels, a docking cradle for a Motorola two-way radio, power door locks, cab air conditioning, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo.
In the rear, there’s also vinyl flooring, supply cabinets, a bench with lap belts, a single passenger seat, an overhead rail, an oxygen outlet, a residential-style power outlet, and a power distribution panel. Power comes from the 7.3L V8 Power Stroke diesel, originally rated to churn out 210 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque.
It isn’t terribly often that we come across a Ford E-350 ambulance like this for sale, but we did spot another one back in May that was once used by the New York Fire Department, interestingly enough.
