2000 Ford Focus Wagon With 44K Miles Up For Auction

Over the past several months, we’ve come across quite a few low-mile Ford Focus models at collector car auction sites around the web, which makes sense given the fact that it hasn’t been sold in the U.S. for some time now and is set to be discontinued entirely later this year. As such, it seems like the Ford Focus is starting to become a hot target among collectors, or perhaps just those that appreciate a solid, economical, and compact car. Now, this 2000 Ford Focus wagon joins that group with a reasonable mileage total, too.

This 2000 Ford Focus wagon has just 44k miles on the clock and is up for auction over at Cars & Bids right now, after it has spent its entire life thus far with the original owner’s family. It’s finished in Rainforest Green paint that’s in mostly good condition, save for the typical blemishes, along with a set of 15-inch aluminum five-spoke wheels. There is some rust on the mechanicals and underbody components, likely because it’s located in Michigan, where road salt is a way of life in the winter time.

Inside the cabin, one will find Medium Graphite cloth covered seats with a few scuffs on the touch points and trim, but otherwise, it’s in solid condition. There are a few amenities present such as air conditioning, cruise control, and power mirrors and door locks, but no major luxuries, as one would expect. The seller did install an aftermarket Boss head unit and Kenwood speakers, however.

In terms of power, that comes from Ford’s naturally-aspirated 2.0L inline-four cylinder engine, which was factory rated to produce 110 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, and it’s mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

Along with this tidy Ford Focus, we’ve seen a few other wagons of the same type pop up for auction in recent weeks, too. That list includes a 2002 Focus SE wagon with 62k miles, as well as a 2003 ZTW with 29k miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. What’s wrong with the engine; only 110 horsepower? My ’99 2.0 Wagon has 131 hp. The engine layout in the photo seems identical. Greetz from Finland.

    1. It looks like the seller is mistaken – this is the 16-valve engine, which in the USA was rated at 130-hp. Some Focus models offered an 8-valve engine with 110-hp, but not this one.
